GRV × THD Adapters

Groove × Thread · by Perigo

Perigo GRV × THD adapters bridge grooved-coupling piping systems directly to threaded connections. Grooved on one end with a rolled groove — not cut — for a stronger coupling seat, and fully threaded on the other. Lengths are engineered per pipe size to allow the groove coupling clamp to seat completely while the thread end fully engages. Available in Carbon Steel, #304 Stainless Steel, and Sch 80 PVC.

Why Rolled Groove?

Built Stronger From the Start

Most manufacturers cut their grooves — Perigo rolls them. The difference shows up in every connection.

Rolled Groove — Not Cut

The groove end is roll-formed, not cut. Rolling compresses the material and preserves wall thickness for a stronger, tighter coupling seat.

Optimized Length Per Size

Each adapter is sized to allow the groove coupling clamp to seat fully while the threaded end engages completely — no guesswork on installation.

Grooved to Threaded Transition

Bridges grooved-coupling piping systems directly to threaded fittings, valves, and equipment — one adapter, clean transition.

Three Material Options

Available in Carbon Steel, #304 Stainless, and Sch 80 PVC — matching your system material and environment requirements.

Other Manufacturers

Cut Groove

  • Removes material from the pipe wall
  • Thins the groove area — weakest point of connection
  • Higher chance of inconsistent groove depth
  • Greater risk of failure under pressure cycling

Rolled Groove

  • No material removed — wall stays intact
  • Compresses and work-hardens the groove area
  • Consistent groove geometry every time
  • Stronger, tighter coupling seat under pressure
